NGCCI organizes MEDICA 2014 Presentation – an Information Seminar

Nepal German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with Messe Dusseldorf, organized MEDICA 2014 Presentation -An Information Seminar on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at DECC, Kathmandu.

The Program was focused on presentation and highlights of MEDICA 2014 –World’s Largest Medicine & Medical Technology Exhibition going to be held from November 12-15, 2014 in Düsseldorf, Germany. NGCCI is organizing NGCCI Business Visit to MEDICA Fair in November, 2014. The program will be highly focused on Trade Fair visit and Business meetings.

MEDICA is the largest trade fair of medicine and medical technology worldwide annually organized by Messe Dusseldorf scheduled to be held from Nov 12-15, 2014 in Dusseldorf, Germany. Every year around 132,000 specialist visitors from over 120 countries meet and find out about innovations and trends in the medical sector. Over 4,600 exhibitors market their products, maintain contact with their customers and achieve new business perspectives. It reflects the trends and developments in the medical sector. It shows both current developments and a look into the future of medical care.

NGCCI officials, along with 10 -12 Member Delegates from Nepal’s Medical Sector will be visiting the Fair from Nov 12-15, 2014. NGCCI, as the coordinator of the Business Visit Program presented the participants about MEDICA program, and further highlights of the Events.
Welcoming the participants, President of NGCCI, Senon Dorje Lama highlighted on MEDICA fair. He added, in view of the opportunities in the MEDICA and interest of Nepalese Companies and Business Professionals in the latest innovations and trends in the medical sector, NGCCI is organizing Business Visit to the fair.
CEO Saraswati Maharjan started the presentation with video clips of highlights of MEDICA 2014 followed by detail presentation of MEDICA fair, its events and activities, facts and figures, major topics of MEDICA, its significance, different conferences and forums of MEDICA and how Nepalese Business Professionals from medical Sector can benefit from such fairs. The Presentation also included brief highlights of COMPAMED 2014 taking place at the same time.

Briefing about NGCCI and its activities, Treasurer & Exhibitions and Expo Sub-Commi ttee Chairperson Naresh Lal Sharestha shed light on other major trade fairs participated by Nepalese business professionals. Talking about current scenario of medical sector in Nepal, he urged the Nepalese business professionals from Medical sector to visit MEDICA fair to get first hand information of entire spectrum of new products, services and procedures in medical products and technology.

NGCCI Executive Bhakta Bahadur Hamal shared his experience of visiting MEDICA Fair several times and expressed that such visits were fruitful to get information about the new trends and developments in medical sector. He also indicated towards opportunities in MEDICA for Nepalese business professionals to explore and diversify their businesses.

General Secretary Santosh C. Kunwar thanked the participants for their active participation. He added, NGCCI will be happy to provide further information of the Fair and facilitate the visitors to the fair.
All MEDICA promotional materials like MEDICA brochures and Newsletter, visitor information and other materials were also distributed to all the participants.
The program was followed by active interaction with the participants interested to visit the Fair. Additional information and counseling for participation was also provided during refreshment after the presentation. Many participants expressed their interest to visit the MEDICA Fair.
Germany is world’s leading Trade Fair destination, many Nepalese business professionals take part in hundreds of Trade Fairs organized in Germany every year.

NGCCI has been coordinating country’s participation in Europe’s largest public exhibition, Caravan, Motors and Tourism Fair CMT at Stuttgart, Germany since 1994. NGCCI organized a successful participation this year also in January 2014.

Earlier, NGCCI had organized Business Visit Program to DRUPA 2012 -Largest Printing Exhibition, in Dusseldorf Germany in May, 2012 and Hannover Messe in Hannover, and USETEC – (former RESALE) – in Cologne, Germany in April 2011. NGCCI is also planning to explore possibilities for coordinating and representation of major Trade Fairs in Germany.
